Overview

Quick Start

Get from zero to your first agent-executed task in under 5 minutes.

01

Download Alfred

Alfred runs as a desktop app on macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel). Windows and Linux builds are in progress.

Download for macOS →
02

Sign in and create a workspace

Open Alfred and sign in with your Alfred account. Then click New Workspace and give it a name.

03

Connect your Git repository

From workspace settings, click Connect Repository. Alfred supports GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. Grant read/write access and Alfred will index the repo and build the initial Knowledge Graph (1–3 minutes for most codebases).

04

Create your first task

Open the Kanban Board. Press N or click + New Task. Add a title and a short description of the outcome you want.

05

Assign to an agent and start

Open the task card, click Assign →, and select an AI agent. Move the task to In Progress. The agent lane in the Squad Monitor will light up within seconds.

Tip

Write task descriptions as outcomes, not instructions: "Add rate-limit middleware to the auth routes"rather than "write some code for auth". The more specific the outcome, the better the agent performs.
